Q1. What is the SHENMO CUP International Competition?
The SHENMO CUP International Competition is dedicated to promoting the development of Mental Arithmetic, Mathematics, and Memory skills among primary and secondary school students while fostering international educational and cultural exchange.
Each year, the competition attracts outstanding students from Malaysia and abroad, making it one of the most prestigious international academic competitions in Malaysia.
Centered around Mental Arithmetic, the competition also features the Malaysia Mathematics Invitational Finals and the SHENMO CUP Memory Competition, providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents, enhance their abilities, and engage in international exchange.

Q2. What is the format of the Abacus Competition?
The Abacus Competition is conducted as an offline, paper-based competition.
Students who register for the Arithmetic Competition will automatically be enrolled in the Abacus Competition at no additional charge.
Participants must use an abacus during the competition.
Each participant is required to complete:
• Paper D
Time Limit: 3 minutes
Q3. What is the format of the Mathematics Competition?
The Mathematics Competition is conducted as an offline, paper-based competition.
The paper consists of:
• 20 Multiple Choice Questions
• 10 Short Answer Questions
Total Questions: 30
Time Limit: 60 minutes
Q4. What is the format of the Memory Competition?
The Memory Competition is conducted as an offline, paper-based competition.
Participants must complete three papers within 30 minutes:
• Paper A – Number Memory

Q1. What equipment is required for the Online Abacus Competition?
Participants are required to prepare:

Q2. When will I receive my login account and password?
After the registration deadline, participants will receive their login credentials.

Q3. Where can I take the Online Abacus Competition?
Participants who are attending other competition categories onsite may complete the Online Abacus Competition at the competition venue according to the instructions of the organizing committee.
Participants who are only joining the Online Abacus category may take the competition from home or any quiet location with a stable internet connection.
Q4. What should I pay attention to before the competition?
Please ensure that:
• Your device is functioning properly
• Your internet connection is stable
• Your battery is fully charged
• Your camera is switched on throughout the competition
• Your browser is updated
Q5. What should I do if I experience internet issues during the competition?
If you experience internet connectivity issues during the competition, please contact the organizing committee immediately and follow the instructions provided by the invigilator.

Q1. What awards are available in the SHENMO CUP International Competition?
For the Arithmetic, Mathematics, Memory, and Online Abacus categories, awards will be presented based on competition results as follows:

🥉 Bronze Award – Next 20%

For the Abacus category, awards will be presented as follows:

Awarded to participants who achieve Gold Award in the Arithmetic category for three consecutive years.
Q2. Will all participants receive a certificate?
Yes.
All participants will receive an official Certificate of Participation issued by the SHENMO CUP Organising Committee.
Q3. Will participants receive an electronic certificate?
Yes.
After the official release of results, participants may log in to their accounts and download their electronic certificates.
Q4. How can I download my electronic certificate?
Participants may log in to their competition account after results are released and download their electronic certificate directly from the platform.
Q5. How are award winners determined?
Awards are determined according to participants' competition results and rankings within their respective categories.
The Organising Committee reserves the right to make the final decision on all competition results and awards.
Q6. What is the Arithmetic Legend Award?
The Arithmetic Legend Award is presented to participants who achieve the Gold Award in the Arithmetic category for three consecutive years.
This award recognises exceptional achievement and long-term excellence in Mental Arithmetic.
MiMAS Gold Award Winners
Q1. How can MiMAS Gold Award winners receive a complimentary registration for SHENMO CUP?
After the official release of MiMAS results, Gold Award winners will be invited to participate in the SHENMO CUP International Competition free of charge.
Eligible participants must accept the invitation within the specified period. Failure to do so will be considered a forfeiture of the complimentary invitation.
Q2. What if I have already paid for registration but later receive a MiMAS Gold Award?
The Organising Committee will provide a full refund for the category that qualifies for the complimentary invitation.
Example:
If a participant has registered for both Arithmetic and Mathematics, and later receives a MiMAS Gold Award in Mathematics, the Mathematics registration fee will be refunded. The participant only needs to pay for the Arithmetic category.
Q3. I am a MiMAS Gold Award winner but I am not sure whether I can participate. What should I do?
As competition materials and arrangements must be prepared in advance, all MiMAS Gold Award winners are required to confirm their participation within the specified deadline.
Participants who accept the complimentary invitation but later fail to attend may lose eligibility for future complimentary invitations.
Example:
• 2026: Receives MiMAS Gold Award and accepts the invitation but does not attend SHENMO CUP.
• 2027: Does not receive a MiMAS Gold Award.
• 2028: Receives another MiMAS Gold Award.
The participant may no longer be included in the complimentary invitation list and may be required to pay the registration fee.
Q4. Can I register during the Early Bird period and still receive a refund if I later win a MiMAS Gold Award?
Yes.
Participants who register during the Early Bird Promotion period and subsequently receive a MiMAS Gold Award will still be eligible for a refund.
Q5. Do I need to wait for MiMAS results before registering for SHENMO CUP?
No.
Participants are encouraged to register early and take advantage of the Early Bird Promotion.
There is no need to wait for MiMAS results before registering.
Q6. When will MiMAS results be announced?
The Organising Committee expects to release MiMAS results in early June.
Participants may check their results through:

General Information
Q1. Will breakfast or lunch be provided by the Organising Committee?
No.
The Organising Committee will not provide meals for participants.
Parents are advised to prepare breakfast and lunch for their children.
Q2. Can my child bring a jacket into the competition hall?
Yes.
Participants may bring a jacket or sweater into the competition hall.
However, award recipients must wear the official competition T-shirt during the Award Ceremony.
Q3. What stationery can participants bring?
Participants may bring:

• Ruler
The use of calculators is strictly prohibited.
Q4. Can participants use an abacus during the Arithmetic and Online Abacus competitions?
Yes.
Participants are allowed to use an abacus during both the Arithmetic and Online Abacus competitions.
Q5. What is the difference between the Arithmetic Competition and the Online Abacus Competition?

Q6. How many parents may accompany a participant?
Due to venue capacity limitations, each participant is allowed one accompanying parent.

No.
All registrations are final.
The Organising Committee does not accept refund requests for any reason.
If a participant is unable to attend on the competition day, the registration fee remains non-refundable.

Q1：MiMAS 金奖优胜者如何获得免费参加神墨杯国际比赛资格？
MiMAS 成绩公布后，获得金奖（Gold Award）的优胜者将获邀免费参加神墨杯国际比赛。
符合资格者必须于指定期限内接受邀请，否则将视为自动放弃资格。
Q2：如果我已经付费报名，后来获得 MiMAS 金奖怎么办？
主办单位将全额退还符合免费资格组别的报名费。
例如：
参赛者已报名心算组及数学组。
若后来获得数学组 MiMAS 金奖，则数学组将获得免费资格，主办单位将退还数学组报名费，参赛者仅需支付心算组费用。
Q3：如果我是 MiMAS 金奖得主，但还不确定能否参加神墨杯，应该怎么办？
由于主办单位需提前准备赛事物资，所有 MiMAS 金奖得主必须在指定期限内确认是否接受邀请。
若参赛者已接受免费邀请，但最终无故缺席比赛，未来可能失去免费参赛资格。
例如：
• 2026 年获得 MiMAS 金奖并接受邀请，但未出席神墨杯比赛。
• 2027 年未获得 MiMAS 金奖。
